Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of tacticarena.net and app.tacticarena.net (together, the "Service"), operated by TacticArena ("TacticArena," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to participate in tournaments or promotions that award real-money or cash-equivalent prizes. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements and that your participation does not violate any law applicable to you.

2. The Service

TacticArena provides chess puzzles, tournaments, and related features. Some tournaments are free to enter ("Freemium"); others may require an active Premium subscription when that tier becomes available. Features, formats, schedules, and availability may change at any time and are described in more detail on the Service.

3. Accounts and Waitlist

To access certain features you may need to join our waitlist or create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

4. Tournaments and Prizes

• Eligibility for any specific tournament (including Freemium and Premium tournaments) is governed by the rules published for that tournament, which may include requirements such as following our official social media accounts or holding an active account on a third-party platform for a minimum period.
• Prize amounts, payout methods (such as PayPal, Wise, or cryptocurrency), and payout timing are described on the Service and may change from tournament to tournament.
• You are solely responsible for any taxes owed on prizes you receive, and for providing any information reasonably required for us to deliver a prize or comply with our legal obligations.
• We may disqualify any entrant and withhold or reclaim a prize if we reasonably believe the entrant cheated, used prohibited assistance (such as a chess engine), created multiple accounts, or otherwise violated these Terms or the tournament rules.
• Tournaments are void where prohibited by law. It is your responsibility to confirm that participation in a cash-prize tournament is lawful in your jurisdiction.

5. Store and Purchases

Digital products offered through our Store (such as books or guides) are sold and fulfilled by third-party platforms, such as Whop. Purchases are subject to that platform's own terms, refund policy, and privacy policy. TacticArena is not the merchant of record for these purchases.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use bots, chess engines, or other automated assistance to gain an unfair advantage in any scored puzzle, game, or tournament.
• Create multiple accounts to gain additional tournament entries or prizes.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its infrastructure, or other users.
• Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or network of the Service.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its puzzles, branding, design, and content, is owned by TacticArena or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from the Service except as permitted by these Terms or with our written consent.

8. Third-Party Links and Advertisements

The Service displays advertisements served by third parties, including Google AdSense and other ad networks, and may link to third-party websites and social media platforms. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of these third parties. Their appearance on the Service is not an endorsement.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TACTICARENA WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may stop using the Service at any time.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, unless a different governing law is required by the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
